What Is Kitchen Renovation?
Kitchen renovation refreshes counters, cabinet faces, backsplash, flooring, and fixtures within your existing layout rather than restructuring the room. For Achilles, VA kitchens with a floor plan that already works but finishes that have worn out, this is often the more practical path to a kitchen that looks and functions like new.
Why You Need It
Worn kitchen surfaces aren't just cosmetic. Countertop seams that have opened up let moisture into cabinet boxes, and old backsplash grout can trap grease and bacteria in ways that are hard to fully clean. The longer these small issues sit, the more they compound into a repair project with a bigger scope and bigger bill.
Our Process
1. Walkthrough and Scope
We assess counters, cabinets, backsplash, and flooring together to build a renovation scope that addresses everything that's actually worn.
2. Careful Removal
Dated countertops, backsplash, or flooring are removed with attention to what's underneath, especially around sink and appliance areas.
3. Repairs and Reinforcement
Cabinet boxes, subfloor, or wall surfaces that need reinforcement are addressed before new finishes are installed.
4. New Finish Installation
Countertops, backsplash, flooring, and hardware are installed and sealed, finishing with a full function check of sinks and fixtures.
What to Expect
Because the layout stays the same, kitchen renovations are generally faster than a full remodel. Most projects in Achilles, VA take one to two weeks depending on countertop lead times. We'll set up a temporary kitchen workflow with you if disruption runs longer than a couple of days.
